Sound In Three Dimensions with Christopher Willets
February 24, 2026
There’s something different that happens when you are not just listening to music, but sitting inside it.
During one of our recent gatherings, Christopher Willits led a B&O Play Sound Bath that turned a room full of attendees into a single, shared frequency. As an experiential strategy and production studio, we think a lot about how to design moments that bring people into deeper connection. This was one of those moments. The experience was immersive and ambient, designed less as a performance and more as an environment. Sound moved through the space in layers, giving the analytical mind a rest and inviting something quieter to take over.
The activation showcased B&O Play’s commitment to design, sound quality, and creative collaboration, but it never felt like a product demo. It felt like an experience. A reminder that technology, when used thoughtfully, can support presence rather than distract from it.
Christopher, a San Francisco–based musician and educator, builds three-dimensional ambient compositions using processed guitar and voice. His work lives somewhere between meditation and movement, often accompanied by his own earth-inspired visual pieces. Over the years he has collaborated widely, toured globally, and developed a practice that blends music with deep listening.
In our conversation, we talk about the role of sound in shaping emotion, how immersive audio can influence group dynamics, and why intentional listening might be one of the most overlooked collective experiences we have left.
We hope you enjoy the conversation.
