We recently gathered friends from the Bay Area’s brand, marketing, and creative community for an afternoon of laughs, crisp drinks, and legendary sandwiches—launching our new event series: Half Days.
Half Days are exactly what they sound like—a literal half day of work, every six weeks or so, where we encourage guests to shut the laptop, grab a drink, and connect with great people. We pick the bar, we pick the sandwich spot, we open a tab, and friends drop in as they please—often leaving with a new contact (or three) who can make work-life more interesting, serendipitous, and fruitful.
For this edition, we posted up at April Jean in North Beach—a modern, design-forward vinyl listening bar—paired with sandwiches from the legendary Italian deli Molinari’s. A DJ kept the vibe lively, the drinks stayed flowing, and by the end of the day, we all started wondering if maybe the solution isn’t a four-day workweek after all…
And this is just the start—more Half Days are already on the horizon. Keep an eye out for the next one coming down the pike.
